the_v01d This music absolutely defines 80s synthwave at its finest. I had to buy all your music! This is just too good to not!

Chris Richards Just superb. I was just a child in the 80s, but the decade imprinted on my soul at that young age. This album captures the sentiment and nostalgia perfectly. Great guest appearances from The Motion Epic, and I have to say, I think the Neverending Story is better than the original recording (which I actually found quite annoying). Well done Max Cruise - a great debut! Favorite track: Dangerous Love.

It's another new morning Tryin' to break away But you got me trapped I guess I'm here to stay I should've heeded her warning That you weren't here to play But at the time It didn't seem that way Oooh oooh Heaven's above You've got me trapped In your dangerous love You're caught in a moment Still looking back You're stuck in a trap Of dangerous love You're caught in a moment Still looking back You're stuck in a trap Of dangerous love Gotta stop your deceiving Cause you know we're done I should've stopped believing Your lies when we first begun But it's easier said than done And the scars show that you've won My heart burns like fire But I'm moving on Oooh oooh Heaven's above You've got me trapped In your dangerous love Dangerous love You're caught in a moment Still looking back You're stuck in a trap Of dangerous love You're caught in a moment Still looking back You're stuck in a trap Of dangerous love And nothing's gonna change the way I feel, oh no 'Cause you did me wrong And I'm moving on Breaking hearts is all you ever do You're caught in a moment Still looking back You're stuck in a trap Of dangerous love You're caught in a moment Still looking back You're stuck in a trap Of dangerous love

I wish I could turn back time Just to see you smile Cause your tears of yesterday They linger on my mind Through all of our ups and downs All the on and off again And after all this time We've found we're back where we began Life and love and you and me again I'd never do you wrong, bae 'cause we belong You and me forever Our love together strong until the end If we could turn back time Take back all the things we said Would it have changed anything Before it came to an end But why don't we start again Give it one more chance Take the time to make it right Cause you know our love still burns so bright Life and love and you and me again I'd never do you wrong, bae cause we belong You and me forever Our love together strong until the end Life and love and you and me again I'd never do you wrong, bae cause we belong You and me forever Our love together strong until the end

Star Citizen 04:37
In a flash of light I'm soaring through a dark space Travelling alone Trying to find my place And if you really try Maybe you can find me Out there in the darkness Where you know you can't fall without gravity Give me time Free from the rush of life Is this my destiny So much more than you and me Ground control Lost communication long ago 'Cause I'm flying so high Left my orbit, said goodbye I'm living in the stars At rapid velocity I don't know where I'm going But I'm leaving behind this galaxy Cruising high at warp Like a sci-fi fantasy So far away from home You're now just a distant memory Give me time Free from the rush of life Is this my destiny So much more than you and me On my own Left it all behind so long ago And I'm flying so high And I'm feeling so alive

Dark Days 03:49
Call a cab and flag it down New York City and not a sound Not a sound A millions ways in black and white Not more to say to make this right Make it right Dark days, long nights Feel free till the end of time Gotta take love, by the hand Show them our love, the best we can Love and hurt again Take the streets, begin amends Start again We walk for hours, through the night 'Til break of dawn, it shines so bright Dark days, long nights Feel free till the end of time Gotta take love, by the hand Show them our love, the best we can

Who We Are 03:53
Never thought it was meant to be True love and perfect memories Just living young and free That summer night Who we are, oh love Don't we both know how this ends? Who we are Who we are, oh love Don't we both know how this ends? Who we are, ohhh Should I make the sacrifice To sate the burning in your eyes Caught in this serenade Of love and lies Is it real this deep desire A burnin' ember flying higher Setting my heart on fire That summer night Who we are, oh love Don't we both know how this ends? Who we are Who we are, oh love Don't we both know how this ends? Who we are, ohhh Our ember sets the sky ablaze The setting sun, your longing gaze A chance to change our ways That summer night Who we are, oh love Don't we both know how this ends? Who we are Who we are, oh love Don't we both know how this ends? Who we are, ohhh

about

NOTE: Due to recent DSP licensing changes at APRA AMCOS as of 2022, the two cover songs on Cruise Control - 'Send Me An Angel' and 'Never Ending Story' are no longer available for purchase via Bandcamp; however, they can be still purchased via other platforms e.g. iTunes and Amazon Music. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Four years in the making, Cruise Control is the debut synthwave / synth pop album from Max Cruise. A powerhouse of '80s inspired tracks filled with lush synthesizers, huge drum fills and reverb-drenched sax solos, the album features the vocal talents of Pat DiMeo (The Motion Epic) and Alessandra Gonzalez (Cirque du Soleil) across eight original compositions, several co-written with DiMeo, plus two covers of iconic '80s hits; Send Me An Angel (originally by Australian group Real Life), and Never Ending Story, the theme song from the 1984 movie The NeverEnding Story (by Giorgio Moroder and Keith Forsey and originally sung by Limahl).

Produced by Benjamin Harrison, the album was mixed by Ben Wood at Delta King Studios and mastered by Ben Feggans at Studios 301 in Sydney, Australia.

Max Cruise is a project by Australian multi-instrumentalist, producer and songwriter Benjamin Harrison inspired by the music and aesthetics of the '80s with lush synthesizers, big drums and epic saxophone/guitar solos.
